Old & Rarer 7th Heaven Whisky Tasting - Friday 26th March

To make up for the loss of this years live Old & Rare Whisky Show, I am proud to present this 9 dram (20ml) online whisky tasting, full of whisky gems, all distilled in the 1970’s (except the 35yo Millburn, 1969). Some are legendary, whilst some are to be discovered...especially the mystery dram!!

You will agree it’s a stellar line-up, in a similar style to the Old & Rare Show whisky extravaganza!!

The whisky tasting runs from 7.30-10pm on Friday 26th March, online on Zoom.

Such high end whisky is sadly not cheap, however I run these evenings as not for profit, so the total cost including 1st class signed for postage (UK) is £160.

Online Tasting - Whisky for All #8 - February 19th 2021 SOLD OUT

As there is only one public tasting this February, I thought I'd bring in a couple of extra special bottles...can you guess which ones?

Aberfeldy 22, Cadenhead's 2018 Campbeltown Festival bottling. I've been looking forward to featuring Aberfeldy for a while, and so I thought I would start with this one, bought on a bright sunny Sunday surrounded by a throng of whisky fans...ah, those were the days!!

Glencadam 26, Cadenhead's. This will be a bit of a mystery bottling for some of you, but be prepared to be pleasantly surprised.

Imperial 1989, Càrn Mòr. We all need more Imperial. This closed and demolished distillery is becoming scarce, so I definitely need to feature in this tasting.

Glenburgie 27, Cadenheads. Glenburgie flies under a lot of peoples radar, but it shouldn't, especially when it is in its later twenties.

Tormore 25, SMWS 105.24. "Such stuff as drams are made on", a good name choice there, this is a cracking Tormore.

Clynelish 20, "The Candlelight Series" by The Whisky Illuminati. Without doubt one of the best 1997 vintages of this east coast delight.

Mortlach 21, Douglas Laing Directors' Cut. Please don't make me regret sharing this stunner from the Beast of Dufftown, usually you have to prise these from my dead fingers!

Bruichladdich 23 "Black Art 1990, 04.1". A little bit of mystery in exactly which cask types are used.

Springbank 25, 2019. Yes, you read that right.

So that's 9 Drams in all this month.

The whisky tasting runs from 7.30-10pm on Friday 19th February, on Zoom.

It costs either £85 all inclusive for Royal Mail 1st Class signed for delivery, or £90 if you would like next day special delivery. I will mail the box of drams at least a week before.

Whisky for All #007 - January 22, 2021

Anyway else looking forward to 2021? Well I created this tasting to get the year started...properly!! We will enjoy...

Blue Label Legendary Eight, the limited edition blend created from distilleries that were around when Johnnie Walker began 200 years ago.

Glenturret 27, bottled by Adelphi in 2014! A first Glenturret for my tastings, and its delicious.

Glenlossie 24, Cadenheads. New to Glenlossie? This is a great place to start.

Magic Duck/Secret Speyside 28, Whisky-Fässle. Can we work out the distillery? (Possibly Glen Keith?)

Clynelish 22 by The Nectar, sherried Clynelish, a proper dram!

Braes of Glenlivet 16 from 1979, Signatory Vintage...if you know whisky you will know this is a rare one, and one you need to try.

Jura (of course) 29 from 1988, SMWS 31.36, going to be Jura part 2 tasting in a couple of months, but couldn't resist sharing this one now, its good!!

Bunnahabhain 27 from 1989, Cadenheads, a beautiful whisky to round out the evening.
