Cognac Tasting #01 - “Journeying to a New World” - Friday 9/10/20
I am very excited to present this special tasting, taste-travelling from this world of Whisky, into a potentially new world of Cognac with you. We will discover many new, and exciting, flavours on the way. There will be 7 Cognacs and 1 Cognac finished whisky to consider, truly a sumptuous event. These have all been chosen with the whisky palate in mind. You will be inspired...

...of course you may be a cognac connoisseur already, in which case I believe you will still appreciate these bottles very much!!:
Augier Cognac – “Le Oceanique” – 40.1%...We start with a beautiful light, coastal Cognac!!
Vallein-Tercinier – Cognac 46º Small Batch – 46.0%…The exact definition of a “malternative” according to Serge @WhiskyFun.
Park Cognac – Borderies – Mizunara Single Cask – 44.0%...That special wood finish, only this time with Cognac!
J.Prunier & Co. – Très Vieux Fins Bois – 42.5%...50yo+ Exclusive edition for the great Cognac-Expert.com…this will blow your mind and is only one of 150 bottles in existence.
Vallein-Tercinier/Maltbarn – Lot 86 – Bon Bois – 44.5%...Independent bottling of lovely 32yo spirit.
Delamain – “Vesper” - Grande Champagne – 40%...Seventies bottling of 35yo Cognac, so distilled 70-80 years ago, and great value at auction!!
C.Dully Selection/Grosperrin – Cognac Borderies 1965 – 56.7%...54yo Cognac, and one of this great Swiss independent’s that got me started!!
Kilchoman – Cognac Finish Single Cask - 58.1%...and a not so little whisky to finish us off!!
